Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk - Sacramento, CA

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position is responsible for processing customer invoices, posting payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the collections process. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices.
  • Post cash receipts, ACH payments, wire transfers, and credit card payments.
  • Apply customer payments accurately to accounts.
  • Monitor aging reports and assist with collections activities.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close and AR reporting.
  • Communicate with customers regarding account status and payment inquiries.
  • Support the accounting team with additional projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Strong data entry and reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
